DroneShield and Overland AI announced a partnership integrating DroneShield’s DroneSentry-X Mk2 system onto Overland AI’s ULTRA autonomous ground vehicle to enhance protection in contested environments.

The integration enables ULTRA to detect, identify, and track drone threats in real time while operating in complex, off-road terrain where traditional systems struggle. This adds an aerial threat detection layer to an already autonomous ground platform used for reconnaissance, logistics, and security missions.

The combined system aims to improve survivability and mission effectiveness by giving mobile ground units continuous airspace awareness, reducing vulnerability to small drone surveillance and attacks. The solution has been tested in representative defense conditions and is now available to government and defense customers.
