Shield AI and Thunder Tiger Corp. have partnered to integrate Shield AI’s Hivemind autonomy software into Thunder Tiger’s unmanned systems, beginning with unmanned surface vessels (USVs). The collaboration aims to strengthen Taiwan’s autonomous defense capabilities and improve coordinated operations in contested environments.

The partnership will begin with a live demonstration of a Hivemind-powered USV, showing how AI-enabled systems can autonomously navigate and perform maritime missions. The companies will conduct simulation, integration, and live testing to enable multiple unmanned systems to operate together as intelligent, coordinated teams.

The agreement also reflects Shield AI’s expanding presence in Taiwan and supports efforts to enhance the country’s asymmetric defense and domestic defense industry capabilities.
