Integrating Sensors and Systems to Counter Russian Threats

Russia’s war in Ukraine has exposed NATO’s eastern flank to a mix of high-end aircraft incursions and low-cost drone swarms, creating a pressing need for real-time data sharing and integrated defense.

In March 2026, Anduril demonstrated this capability during exercise Digital Shield 2.0, integrating over a dozen sensors and effectors across Estonian and US systems in under a week.

Using Anduril’s Lattice Mesh, Lattice software, and Menace-T tactical compute kits, operators fused radar and acoustic data into a single track, enabling rapid detection, tracking, and tasking of effectors without compromising national network control. The exercise proved that disparate national systems can be quickly linked, allowing allied forces to coordinate responses in real time.

This approach highlights the importance of cross-border, multi-system integration for NATO’s Eastern Flank deterrence and shows how rapid data-to-action workflows can strengthen regional security.
