A limit on the number of guests gathering in homes is the mandate in many states. Families across America are going to be traumatized by not being able to invite crazy Uncle Joe or befuddled Aunt Josie to enjoy turkey and pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving. But thanks to the country’s leader in one of our most populous states, the answer is at hand.
Unfortunately, many will not be able to secure a private room at the French Laundry in Napa, CA, as Governor Gavin Newsom did recently. And fewer still will have the money during the pandemic to cough up $325 per seat (wine not included) for the luxury of being jammed together (inside) giving thanks.
Alas, unless you are the governor of some state or the other, you won’t be laughing and eating alongside family members and friends. But wait. It wasn’t just family and friends Governor Newsom had invited. He was dining with the state’s top medial operatives (lobbyists?).
This is not conventional hypocrisy, warns Tucker Carlson. With businesses shuttered across the state of California, this is hostility against the population of the country by people who despise you.
This is how people who don’t like you behave. They force you to do one thing and they do another. They are not embarrassed. They keep forcing you to do the thing they are not going to do. They don’t like you.
