Dan Crenshaw Bursts Bernie’s Green New Deal Bubble

February 14, 2020 By The Editors

President Donald J. Trump shakes hands with Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at Turning Point USA’s 5th annual Student Action Summit at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. (Official White House Photo by Shealah Craighead)

On February 13, Bernie Sanders attempted to woo voters focused on the environment with a Tweet touting his support for the radical Green New Deal. In response, Rep. Dan Crenshaw burst Bernie’s bubble, reminding him that he had voted against the bill in the Senate. See Crenshaw’s Tweet below:

Then why didn’t you vote “YES” for the Green New Deal when it came to the Senate Floor?

Maybe because it’s not a plan. Or a good deal. Or even “Green.” It’s a 3rd grade science project that isn’t based in science or engineering.

Later, Crenshaw discussed the exchange with Fox and Friends:
