Thales Group has launched the TopStar Smart Receiver, a compact system that integrates positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities into a single unit designed for land vehicles, drones, and munitions.
TopStar Smart Receiver Equipped With:
- A dual-constellation GNSS receiver, integrating signals from military constellations, Galileo PRS, and civilian GPS, and providing resistance to spoofing, with enhanced accuracy and availability.
- An anti-jamming function: its adaptive CRPA (Controlled Radiation Pattern Antenna), reduces interference from jammers, and enables operation at distances up to thirty times closer than with a conventional GPS receiver.
- A high-performance clock, ensuring synchronization of tactical radios for up to 48 hours following GNSS signal loss, versus 30 minutes with conventional equipment.
The system enhances resilience in contested environments with anti-jamming and anti-spoofing features, multi-constellation GNSS support, and a high-precision clock that maintains synchronization even after signal loss. Built in Europe, it aims to improve mission reliability and operational continuity in electronic warfare conditions.
