Rheinmetall has successfully demonstrated the launch of its FV-014 loitering munition from a mobile containerized launcher mounted on an HX military truck. The July 2026 test included launches from both stationary and moving positions.

The FV-014 combines reconnaissance, target identification and precision strike capabilities, with a range of up to 100 kilometers and endurance of up to 70 minutes. Rheinmetall says it can operate in GNSS-disrupted environments and support both individual and swarm missions.

The system remains human-controlled, allowing operators to identify targets, authorize strikes or abort missions. The demonstration marks another step in Rheinmetall’s development of mobile unmanned strike systems.
