Lockheed Martin has unveiled PAC-3 Edge™, a next-generation interceptor designed to strengthen U.S. Army defenses against hypersonic missiles and advanced aerial threats. Building on the combat-proven PAC-3 MSE platform, the interceptor features an advanced seeker, a multi-pulse rocket motor developed by Northrop Grumman, and upgraded control systems to improve range, precision, and maneuverability.
PAC-3 Edge is part of the U.S. Army’s Future Interceptor competition, with testing expected to begin in 2027 and deployment targeted for 2031. The system is designed to integrate with existing Army defense platforms, enhancing layered missile-defense capabilities.
