Shame on you, Mr. Crist, as governor of Florida, for selecting Mr. LeMieux, your former campaign manager, to fill Mr. Martinez’s inexplicable abandoning of his senate seat. What are you thinking? In these times when Republicans need leadership and integrity and, more importantly, every vote to stop the Obama administration’s radical expansion of our government, you have displayed the type of cronyism usually attributed to Democrats (e.g., recently Mr. Biden and Mr. Obama, and now perhaps a Kennedy/Massachusetts appointee). Furthermore, your expansion of a government-favored public option for hurricane insurance in Florida is the type of foul ball usually associated with a liberal bias. It has driven private property insurers out of the state, much as ObamaCare would decimate private health-care insurance. I’m looking forward to hearing more from what looks to be a promising, conservative run by former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio. And with Florida residents departing en masse for the first time since WWII, I hope it is vaya con dios to you, also, Mr Crist.
