No doubt with the promises of Democrats to raise their taxes and regulate their businesses in mind, big-money donors are rallying behind President Trump. The Daily Mail reports on two events where major donors will be giving the President’s campaign. One hosted by Oracle founder Larry Ellison, will give guests the opportunity to play golf with the President for $100,000 a ticket. Marlene Lenthang reports on the event, writing:
Billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison is being slammed by his own employees after it was revealed he will hold a major fundraiser for Donald Trump’s re-election campaign at his lavish private golf course.
Ellison, 75, is the chairman of the software giant and is the fifth richest man in the world with a net worth of $69.1billion.
On Wednesday news broke that Ellison will host a ‘Golf Outing and Reception’ fundraiser for Trump next week on February 19 at his estate in Rancho Mirage, California, less than two weeks before California’s Super Tuesday primary election.
Another event will be hosted by Nelson Petlz in Palm Beach. At the dinner, donors will dine with the President for $580,600-per couple. Ross Ibbetson reports:
President Donald Trump will appear as the guest of honor at a $580,600-per-couple fundraising dinner hosted by billionaire investor Nelson Peltz in Palm Beach.
In one of Trump’s most extravagant fundraising events since taking office, around 30 guests will attend Peltz’s $95million estate on Saturday night, just a stone’s throw from the president’s Mar-a-Lago Club, ‘the Southern White House’.
An invitation obtained by The Washington Post promises dinner and a photo opportunity with Trump. A Republican National Committee official confirmed around 30 guests are expected to help Trump’s re-election effort to the tune of $10million.
A source revealed guests include Ike Perlmutter, a Trump friend and chairman of Marvel Entertainment, and Louis DeJoy, fundraising chair for the 2020 Republican convention.
