I’d be careful if I were the GOP about celebrating my wins today. The GOP leadership is a target, not a bullet. The real wins go to the TEA Party, not the sharply divided GOP. A nasty rift is brewing between the RNC and the neocon crowd led by Karl Rove. No matter who wins this battle over control of the party, I won’t support either side. Conservatives want no part of the big-government, free-spending, nation-building, Wall Street bailout GOP.
Connecticut senate candidate Richard Blumenthal has lied about his service in Vietnam. He should do the only honorable thing and withdraw his candidacy today.
Coming This Fall: A New Tea-Party Senate Nucleus – Larry Kudlow, National Review
Larry’s prediction of a new reform movement in the GOP Senate caucus sounds like the future to me too. Unfortunately he adds Carly Fiorina to his list of TEA Party reformers. Chuck DeVore is the only candidate in California worth voting for if you’re a TEA Party member. Carly comes in a distant second place to Chuck. However, the idea that the small government nucleus in the Senate, currently led by Jim DeMint could grow is heartening and a good sign that America is putting itself back on the right track. – Dick Young
