Your Survival Guy is back home from Paris, as planned and on schedule. I’m happy to be home and happy to have had another amazing trip to our home away from home, but I’m not in any rush to go back.
We will go back, and I want you to go too. But you need to do your research, understand the lay of the land, and be prepared for whatever disturbances may arise between now and the presidential election in the spring.
Protests are a way of life in France, and they can get heated. But what we’re seeing now—countrywide violence, with teenagers, thugs, and the disenfranchised burning the place down—is not about classroom conditions, bad teachers, or the rising cost of living. It’s about cowards who put on masks as if it were Halloween and give themselves permission to loot and steal.
Go to any blue-blob city in America, and you can see it for yourself: weak leadership lighting the match of encouragement by doing nothing.
But pay attention. The reports often do not reflect what’s happening on the ground. Facts are facts, but in today’s world, they’re twisted to fit the audience.
The violence is not about equality, standards of living, or bad teachers; it’s about opportunists burning the place down and taking whatever they can, destroying a country from within because there is no “love of country” to begin with.
