No Sanctuary for Arizona’s Illegals in San Francisco

May 3, 2010 By Richard C. Young

Obama’s Border Breakdown – Audrey Hudson, Human Events
Border control agents are being left in the cold by the Obama administration. No funding for overtime could force border control agents to stop an ongoing pursuit of an illegal immigrant at the end of a shift. In other words, drug runners should target the shift change, and they know it. It’s really no wonder Arizona has picked up the immigration fight where the federal government has dropped the ball so badly. – Dick Young

Some ‘Sanctuary Cities’ Fight Arizona’s New Immigration Law Without Offering Sanctuary – Claudia Cowan and Stephen Clark, FOXNews.com
In a classic case of put up or shut up, so called “sanctuary cities” around the South West have declined to take a stand on whether or not they would accept Arizona’s illegal immigrants into their towns. Nancy Pelosi’s hometown of San Francisco has initiated a boycott of Arizona, but I can’t imagine the loft-dwelling crowd of Haight-Ashbury welcoming droves of illegal aliens to the city with open arms. – Dick Young

Stand Up for Arizona – Pat Buchanan
The new immigration law in Arizona simply brings the state’s law into line with the existing federal law. Nothing major has changed. Mexico’s president is out and about criticizing the Arizona law, that is just like the federal law, and President Obama is doing nothing to defend the state. – Dick Young

DeMint on Crist – Robert Costa, National Review
As Senator DeMint said, the people of Florida are on to Charlie Crist. I am Florida resident and I support Marco Rubio. Charlie Crist has flipped on too many issues, and the support of Barack Obama’s stimulus plan was the last straw. – Dick Young

A Law Arizona Can Live With – George Will, Human Events
Mr. Will rightly points out that the deafening silence from the federal government regarding illegal immigration is the main cause of Arizona’s taking matters into its own hands. If the federal government had implemented reform of immigration standards and shut down the border long ago, Arizona would not be forced to do the federal government’s work for it. – Dick Young
