In my conversations with you, a long-time client, you tell me how you and your wife have stopped going into New York City to see shows—something you used to do on a regular basis.

It started well before Mamdani, but now that he’s completely polarized the successful class, there’s no way you’re going back now. His targeting of successful Americans does immediate damage. Rebuilding takes forever.

When you think about the generosity of the successful to charities, for example, when it’s time to give, there’s no way they’re going to think “I ❤️New York.” When they feel like they’re being pickpocketed before even setting foot on Broadway, that’s not how you build things.

It’s simple. Mamdani buys votes. He preys on emotions. The successful sacrifice their labor to improve their lives. You can’t villainize the producers and expect “progress.” The money will run out.

What’s even scarier is you have guys like Governor Newsom in California proposing a tax on the “rich” at the federal level. If something like this is passed, it won’t be long before this so called “rich” tax hits the successful (middle) class as inflation casts a larger net.

Then who pays? Rather than cut spending, government loves to pick winners and losers. When your success is viewed with resentment, that’s where they will be looking first. Remember, it wasn’t that long ago that GM bondholders were left for dead as the government picked who should get “bailed” out.

Action Line: You’ve been successful. You should be allowed to decide what to do with your own money, not pickpocketed by politicians looking to use your dollars to fund their radical agendas.
