Look for Democrats to pull out all the stops in a lame duck session after the November elections. With all the probably losers in the Democratic party, there will be plenty of lame-duck congressman and senators that will throw caution to the wind and vote for all the radical progressive legislation they have dreamed about for years. With a likely Blanche Lincoln loss in Arkansas, look for Democrats to push her hard one more time before she leaves office to vote for card check. There have also been rumblings about Democrats enacting a VAT during a lame duck session. A VAT would be a disaster for America for sure. – Dick Young

Amtrak is the laughing stock of developed world rail systems, and America’s children continue to fall further and further down the ranks of the world’s children in terms of education. President Obama’s recess appointment of Donald Berwick is an end-run around the constitutional authority of Congress, and Democrats are helping him do it for political reasons. The GOP was not blocking Berwick’s hearings, in fact they welcomed hearings so Berwick’s dirty laundry could be aired on national television. The president is now nominating such radicals that he doesn’t want them to even have hearings, so he’s recess appointing them. This is a major manipulation of the constitution and more simply, a disenfranchisement of the American people. – Dick Young

A Bigger, Badder IRS: Brought to You by Obamacare – Daniel Foster, National Review
One little known provision of Obamacare is a requirement for businesses to generate 1099s for all vendors with whom they do more than $600.00 business. That’s the price of one computer or a month of cleaning services, an equipment repair or a brief consultation. The IRS will need massive amounts of new manpower (not to mention firearms) to understand and to enforce all the regulations and taxes created by Obamacare. The owners of sun tanning salons are already feeling the burden of Obamacare, many will go out of business because of a new punitive tax stealing 10% of their revenues. – Dick Young
