According to the US Marine Corps, 2nd Marine Regiment conducted the first conventional-level test of the AeroVironment, Inc. JUMP 20-X unmanned aircraft system (UAS) equipped with the Switchblade 300 Block 20 loitering munition during Service Level Training Exercise 4-26 in California. The system successfully engaged a target 25 kilometers into the battlespace, demonstrating new long-range precision strike capabilities for Marine ground forces.

The JUMP 20-X provides extended flight time, greater range, and increased payload capacity compared with smaller Group 1 unmanned systems currently used by the Marines. Combined with the Switchblade 300 Block 20, the platform gives regimental units an organic capability to conduct surveillance and precision strikes deeper into contested environments. The test, conducted with support from AeroVironment, Inc., aims to improve Marine Corps UAS capabilities and prepare units for future operations.
