
On Sept. 4, the Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point unveiled two new ballistic missiles, the FP-7 and FP-9, signaling a significant boost in Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities. The FP-7 offers medium-range precision at 200 km, while the FP-9 can reach 855 km into Russian territory with a massive 800-kg warhead, according to The Kyiv Independent. Unlike cruise missiles, these ballistic missiles are faster and harder to intercept. Fire Point, known for its Flamingo cruise missile, plays a key role in Ukraine’s strategy to strike deep behind enemy lines, though it’s currently under investigation over contract transparency.
