Kent State Graduate Kaitlin Bennett Offered Protection by Oathkeepers

After Kaitlin Bennet graduated from Kent State, she proudly donned her AR-10 and open-carried it on campus, a right she hadn’t had while still a student there. The photos she had taken of the event set social media on fire, and was threatened by left-leaning bullies who attempted to use violence to scare Kaitlin from exercising her rights.

Kaitlin didn’t back down. The first thing she did was get her concealed carry license. Despite her principled stance, she was met with more vitriol and even death threats.

Kaitlin has been offered protection from the many threats against her by the Oathkeepers organization. Stewart Rhodes, founder of the Oathkeepers wrote in an email “We would consider it an honor.   We have several of our most experienced men standing by, including Brian Krogmann, who is a retired Washington DC Metro Police LT and also a Special Forces combat medic veteran.  However, if you are a suitably trained and experienced police or military veteran who is a member of Oath Keepers in Ohio or in a nearby state, and you are willing to assist with this volunteer protective detail if she accepts, please let us know using our contact@oathkeepers.org email. Be prepared to be vetted closely and carefully, as usual for such details.”
