We have just updated our Liberty & Freedom map to include the revised Electoral College headcount looking to the 2012 Presidential election. It still takes 270 EC votes to win, but for many states, there have been gains and losses. Texas was the big winner with a pick up of 4. Florida gained 2 EC votes. I expect both states to go Republican in 2012. New York, a Democratic stronghold state, lost 2 EC votes, which, in combination with Florida and Texas gains, makes for a potential 8 EC vote swing. This swing, of course, is welcome news for Republicans.
