Stopping Drug Trafficking at the Border?

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom announced Monday his plans for pulling most of the National Guard troops from the Mexican border so as not to partake in the “absurd theatrics” of President Trump’s border security.

Not surprising, during the press conference, Newsom focused not much on the crisis at the border but more on his own dislike of Trump, reports BRIGHT.

Reports reveal that Newsom wanted to withdraw all troops but was urged by National Guard officials not to do so given the amount of drug trafficking they were effectively stopping at the border.

Despite Newsom’s folly, Texas and Arizona still have National Guard troops deployed at the Mexican border.
