At LewRockwell.com, Patrick Foy highlights the grim projection of David Stockman that this winter will bring defeat to Ukraine and the collapse of energy supplies in Europe. Foy writes:
David Stockman, President Reagan’s budget guru, summarized the economic consequences best in his August 23rd, posting, “Winter is Coming”…
…The next six months are stacking up to be the largest policy disaster ever promulgated by Washington. By mid-winter, Kiev will have lost its foolish war against Russia, but by then it will be too late for Europe’s lap dogs to change course.
That’s because European natural gas stocks will be at catastrophic lows. This will cause power plant outages throughout the continent—compounded by the fact that France’s nuke fleet is also undergoing drastic availability problems, while the insane Green Party Economy and Energy Minister of Germany, Robert Habeck, insists on closing German’s last three nuke plants on schedule in December.
The consequence will be literally millions of dark and freezing homes in the UK and Europe and a desperate scramble among governments for marginal energy supplies like the world has never seen. Energy prices will literally shoot the moon….
