SANCTION LIST: Biden Administration Names Its Oligarch Targets

The Treasury Department has released a list of 28 names of sanctioned Russian politicians and oligarchs. These 28, along with 22 secret names, make up the 50 power Russians sanctioned so far by the Biden administration. The public list includes:

  2. Alexsandr Bortnikov
  3. Oleg Deripaska
  4. Kirill Dmitriev
  5. Valeriy Gerasimov
  6. Suleiman Kerimov
  7. Andrei Kostin
  8. Igor Kostyukov
  9. Yuiry Kovalchuk
  10. Sergey Lavrov
  11. Konstantin Malofeyev
  12. Aleksey Miller
  13. Sergey Naryshkin
  14. Nikolay Patrushev
  15. Dmitry Peskov
  16. Evgeniy Prigozhin
  17. Vladimir Putin
  18. Arkadiy Rotenberg
  19. Boris Rotenberg
  20. Igor Sechin
  21. Kirill Shamalov
  22. Sergey Shoygu
  23. Andrey Skoch
  24. Gennadiy Timchenko

Treasury explained the names, writing:

In connection with the Russian Elites, Proxies, and Oligarchs (REPO) meeting on March 16, 2022, Treasury is providing attendees with a list of 50 individuals who are priorities for the United States.

Treasury has publicly released 28 names of individuals from the list who have been sanctioned by multiple jurisdictions, including the United States.
