Ukraine launched what Moscow authorities described as the largest drone attack on the capital, with hundreds of drones reportedly intercepted, according to The Financial Times. Several struck the Moscow Refinery and nearby areas, causing fires and damage. Authorities reported at least two deaths and 20 injuries.
The attack came as Russia’s parliamentary elections entered their final day. Moscow officials said the strikes were intended to disrupt voting, while Ukraine said it targeted facilities supporting Russia’s war effort.
Meanwhile, Russia continued drone strikes on Ukraine, with Ukrainian authorities reporting deaths and injuries in Kyiv and Sumy. Both sides have continued attacks on energy and other infrastructure despite calls for a halt.
