Epic News for Skiers Across the Country!

July 25, 2019 By E.J. Smith - Your Survival Guy

Big news if you’re a skier in the North Conway area in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Vail Resorts has agreed to buy Attitash and Wildcat, along with 15 other ski mountains owned by Peak Resorts, Inc. for $264 million making them part of the Epic Pass network of  79 resorts.

Now, season pass holders (Epic Pass) at Attitash can use their pass at Vail.

This is all about connecting the East Coast to the West.

Nice!

And the pass is accepted at other New England mountains so if you want a change of terrain, you can ski in the network at places like Stowe or Okemo on the same pass.

There’s also a less expensive option called the Epic Local, which includes fewer resorts.

Vail has done a nice job of connecting the dots for New England skiers. For them, the purchase opens the door to the wild, wild West.

Last year, for example, we went on a ski trip out west to Park City, and would have saved money on our trip with the Epic Pass.

This also simplifies life. One pass works wonders.

If you’ve ever planned a ski season, you know what I mean. It’s like navigating a cell phone plan. One less thing to worry about makes me happy.

And it’s a win-win for skiers, as hopefully more people will be introduced to the sport.

Because if there’s no skiers, there’s no skiing.
