Your Survival Guy’s learning he can read all the books in the world about how to raise a puppy (you can read Parts 1, 2, and 3 here, here, and here). But what matters most is the time spent working with him. I forgot how much work puppies are. Maybe there’s a reason for that.
We all want the perfect puppy. But what I’m re-learning is that you need to take baby steps. All week, we’ve been working on getting Stanton comfortable going into his crate. This takes patience. Like you read about.
The good news is Stanton’s learning. That’s not to say he’s always good. He’s a puppy, after all, living with two wild kittens that he can’t get enough of. Yes, they can run to higher ground, but they love the attention.
It comes down to time and patience.
