Are You Missing an Opportunity with Incremental Retirement?

By OlgaChan @ Adobe Stock

Are you missing an opportunity with incremental retirement? Just yesterday, for example, a doctor client of mine said he’s reducing his workweek from three days to one, calling it an incremental retirement.

“I don’t golf,” he said. “Although my doctor friends who do are loving their retirement. I ski. But mostly to be with my family. I’m not sure I’m going to like full retirement, and by not letting my license expire, I have the option to work for as long as I want.”

Action Line: Keeping your options open is always a good idea. Trying out an incremental retirement might be a good idea if you’re unsure about committing completely to your golden years.
