Another Habit of Highly Successful and Fairly Wealthy People

March 29, 2023 By E.J. Smith - Your Survival Guy

Another habit of highly successful and fairly wealthy people is this: delegation. You didn’t get to where you are without a little help from your friends, staff, and loved ones. You learned habit #1, saving money, at an early enough age, and you saved til it hurt. You delegated that task. Did you set it and forget it?

Life Comes at You Fast. Slow It Down with My Friday Email. It’s Free.

You didn’t forget. Not really. It was always on your mind. “Will we have enough to retire on?” you wondered. But it was basically on autopilot. Now, as you approach retirement (work for as long as you can, dear reader), there’s more to think about. You can’t afford to make a mistake. And here’s the kicker.

Just when you reach retirement, and you think life will slow down a little bit—it doesn’t. If there’s one truth to retirement, it’s this: You’re busier than ever. Now, I’m not retired. I don’t know what retirement will feel like to me. I’m 50 years old. But I know you’re busy in retirement because it’s what you tell me.

And then it happens. You reach too far for that pickleball or carry in too much firewood, and boom: you’re laid up. It’s a miserable time. And all of a sudden, you wonder: Who’s looking out for me? Who’s looking after my money?

Action Line: Your Survival Guy is here to help. Life happens. Go ahead, delegate to me. I can take it.
