Breitbart London reports that “Around 55 per cent of the French people oppose taking any new migrants, however, and dozens of mayors throughout France have refused to house any migrants in their towns. The mayors of the towns of Roanne and Belfort have said they will only take Christian migrants, incurring the wrath of Prime Minister Manuel Valls.”
Unfortunately for PM Valls, and imploding French President Francois Hollande (the worst rated French president since the early days of France’s Fifth Republic), they are on the wrong side of public opinion. Both are being overrun by Front National leader Marine Le Pen, who, if the voting took place today, would almost certainly win the first round of the 2017 French presidential election. Debbie and I will be in France for the next few weeks for a first-hand look at one of the most urgent national security issues to hit France, and Europe in general, for decades. It is already clear that Germany is causing widespread angst across the European Union (which Le Pen and other national leaders would depart) by agreeing to take in a veritable torrent of Muslim immigrants.
Le Pen is pointing out to French voters that the Muslim horde sweeping across Europe comprises not so much refugees, but male economic migrants.
