Hanwha Defense USA and Magnet Defense have formed a partnership to develop medium unmanned surface vessels (MUSVs) for the US Department of War, including a new 38-meter design.

The agreement builds on Magnet’s proven autonomous vessel technology, including the long-range M48, and aims to combine it with Hanwha’s manufacturing and missile systems. The companies also plan to develop AI-driven shipyards and advanced autonomy software to accelerate production and deployment.
