Leidos Nears $1.2B in Contracts for Next-Gen Air Defense Program

Leidos has been awarded a $617 million contract from the United States Army to produce additional launchers for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 (IFPC Inc 2). Combined with earlier 2025 awards, Leidos now holds nearly $1.2 billion in contracts supporting large-scale deployment of the system.

With over 100 launchers planned, the program is moving toward full-rate production while continuing development and testing through 2029. IFPC Inc 2 is a mobile, modular air defense system designed to counter cruise missiles and drones, integrating with existing Army systems and adapting to evolving threats.
