Raytheon (an RTX business) successfully completed the first flight test of its RAIVEN® Staring system on a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. This next-generation EO/IR sensor suite provides 270-degree situational awareness and high-resolution imaging, even in zero-illumination environments.
Designed with an open systems architecture, the platform-agnostic system is scalable across air, land, and sea, offering advanced features like passive missile detection and high-speed object identification. With production based in McKinney, Texas, Raytheon plans to continue flight testing throughout 2026 to further enhance operator survivability and mission effectiveness.
