Castelion has secured a $105 million U.S. Navy contract to integrate its Blackbeard hypersonic strike weapon onto the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, targeting Early Operational Capability by 2027. The work includes completing hardware and software integration, along with extensive flight testing and safety certification required for carrier-based operations.

This award builds on a prior $49.9 million contract in February 2026 that advanced Blackbeard from prototype to production, signaling the Navy’s continued commitment to rapidly field hypersonic capabilities for operational use.
