The moment came during last night’s State of the Union address, after Trump touted the fact that we have more women in the workforce than ever before. That statistic garnered a standing ovation from Democratic women, who Trump proceeded to tell, “Don’t sit yet, you’re gonna like this.”
He then took it upon himself to congratulate them for their historic achievement in the midterms. “We have more women serving in Congress than any time before,” he said. Watch.
According to a poll conducted by CBS News, 76% of viewers approved of President Trump’s SOTU address.
