The Finish Line is Near, and it Ain’t Pretty: What You Can Do Now

July 23, 2020 By E.J. Smith - Your Survival Guy

You can feel the shift as hope for a speedy recovery turns into despair. Today is especially hard for small businesses hoping to make it through July (when the Pelosi/Schumer disincentive to work expires). For many, there’s just too much to overcome whether it’s the protests or the surge in COVID-19 cases (not death rate), customers are sheltering in place.

Progressive mayors and governors will never understand how difficult it is to run a business or how fragile the relationship is between a business and its customers. And with the PPP loans spent, home equity lines tapped, savings dipped into, and portfolios inflated, what’s the catalyst to get out of this mess?

Tesla’s stock is up 270%, sales are down only a bit despite COVID-19, yet the car ranks last in quality. In other words, even Tesla, like any small business today, is racing for the finish line before time runs out.

How many Zoomers will there be when companies realize they don’t need to be staffed at full capacity when they’re operating at a fraction of it? When you have governors like Cuomo gone wild, believing they can set your menu with mustards and crackers? You can’t get this genie back in the bottle.

Here’s what I want you to do:

  • Get out of debt especially any line of credit on your home.
  • Do not retire. Your job is the most valuable asset you have right now.
  • Do not look for the stock market to do something for you.
  • Don’t just do something, stand there
  • Continue to store food and three months before expiration donate it to food bank and repeat.
  • Make your property a hard target
  • When cities become ghost towns the next target will be the burbs.
  • Move to an Island
  • Get Your Guns and Your Training Now
  • Make sure you’re living in a Castle Doctrine/Stand Your Ground state (see the list below)
