Now that the election has come and gone, Americans can see that some states are priming themselves for success while others are content to pursue the disastrous policies of the past. The great thing about America’s federal system is that you can move to any one of the states to pursue the American dream. Not every state’s residents will see the same opportunities because some politicians are pursuing policies to help their constituents while others are pursuing their own political agendas.
Reread my 2024 Super States, and find the best America for you.

Your Survival Guy’s 2024 Super States is in, and I wonder: Is it time to flee? Because this is the beginning stages of a tectonic shift in America. You and I know the moving vans are gassed up and running. They’re ready to leave the big, blue-blob states on both coasts and elsewhere. No longer are “flyover” states the forgotten states of America. They are lands of opportunity, right there, ready for the pickin’ of freedom-loving citizens looking for the way of life they love. The exciting part is you’re not alone, as others are seeking the same thing and will welcome you with open arms (maybe not right away).
The states’ rights movement began a long time ago as freedom seekers sought to move to places like my favored New Hampshire, once again this year’s number one state, to live free or die. When you look at the location of New Hampshire in the midst of statist New England, you immediately recognize this island of freedom shining bright like a lighthouse in the fog. Yes, this is a competition of states, and ever since Covid, the states’ rights movement has gotten a shot in the arm.
But uprooting your family is a big move. Moving is one of life’s more stressful events—a top 10. Is there anything worse than moving? You can only go to the well so many times, “Hey, can you help me move next month?” And as a family-first American, I’m not here to advise you to leave your family. Hardly. You don’t want to let taxes wag the dog. But as you and I know, there comes a time when you can’t take it anymore. You know when that is. Yes, you can live free in a blue-blob state, but just don’t die there.
What’s concerning about a lot of beautiful places in blue and red states is that they are becoming unhinged with costs, higher property taxes, fewer services, huge pension debt, and unaffordable housing for the next generation or the lifeblood of the future. Resort towns are feeling the crunch as folks wonder, “Where did everybody go?”
How about trying to get work done on your house? Forget it. Small jobs are for “other people,” with the big jobs getting the most attention. Everything is crazy expensive, and going out to dinner is dangerous as diners choke over the bill. So where does that leave us? Well, small things add up, and they can reverse compound to the point where you look for greener pastures as a necessity. Places where you can keep more of what’s yours, where you’re not looked upon as a piggy bank.
Action Line: Use my Super States as a tool to get you thinking about your family’s future. You deserve the best. I want you to have it. Stick with me. Slow and steady wins the race.
