Guns Save Lives from Deranged People

February 3, 2020 By E.J. Smith - Your Survival Guy

The Sunday Globe ran a feature story on an indiscriminate and inexplicable 16-hour crime and murder spree in a Portland, Maine suburb by one deranged 22-year with a history of odd behavior. After stabbing an 82-year old Christmas tree farmer to death (in the farmer’s driveway), the stabbings continued into Freeport, followed by a sexual assault on a jogger whom he ran over breaking her leg, fleeing the scene pursued by Sergeant Dale Hamilton. Deanna Pan reports at the Globe:

Thirty minutes later, Hamilton got another call: Half a mile away, a tall, thin man had knocked on the door of 73-year-old Suzanne Temple’s home and asked to use her phone, according to court documents. When she returned to the door with her phone in hand, the man was standing in her foyer. He pulled out a box cutter and demanded her car keys.

“Do you want to die?” he asked.

At that moment, Temple’s husband walked into the room with a loaded handgun, and the intruder fled.

The Boston Globe’s anti-gun articles are a non-stop affair. And yet, when guns actually save lives, there’s hardly a mention of it, like in this gruesome case. At the same time, you have presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg running anti-gun ads during the Super Bowl. Guns save lives from deranged people, but only if law-abiding Americans are allowed to own them.
