A manhunt across the South ended today when a man from Tennessee stopped two fugitives, holding them at gunpoint until authorities arrived.
During a police chase through Tennessee the fugitives crashed their car, then Donnie Russell Rowe and Ricky Dubose fled through the woods. They came upon a home and attempted to steal a vehicle parked nearby.

When the homeowner realized his vehicle was being targeted by thieves, he responded by confronting them with a firearm. He didn’t know at the time that the two men were fugitive murderers. With help from his neighbor, also armed, the two escapees were held until police could assist.

The fugitives left a trail of chaos in their wake as a attempted to flee. WSB-TV Atlanta reports:
