Saab has introduced the new Bolide 2 missile for the RBS 70, featuring a larger warhead, improved terminal flight performance, and a modular design for future upgrades. The missile keeps the RBS 70’s unjammable laser-guidance system, enhancing its effectiveness against modern aerial threats.

Bolide 2 is compatible with both the latest RBS 70 NG and earlier RBS 70 versions. Saab says successful test firings have already been completed, with deliveries set to begin in 2027 when the missile becomes the standard ammunition for the RBS 70 NG.
