Tim Walz’s so Bad, even Saturday Night Live Baffled
Kamala Harris would like to claim all the good stuff and none of the bad from the Biden presidency. Harris would like wants voters to forget that she has been President Joe Biden’s Veep.
So, was it not especially strange that President Joe Biden, the sitting president, held a press conference two minutes after Harris walked on stage at a campaign event in Detroit? It was something that Biden had never done as president: A chuckling Biden introduced himself to the media, touted the jobs report, and took questions. Reports Ben Domenech in Spectator US:
The moment was astonishing not just because Biden has operated at such a remove from the public eye since he was replaced as the Democratic nominee, but because it seemed intentionally designed to distract from his vice president and remind everyone that he’s still around, and yes, for all his struggles, still technically president.
Kamala Harris, whose campaign has been struggling recently, is finding that transferring the Democrat’s ebullience at the DNC is not transferring to voters. World- and weather-related events are a distraction, to put it kindly. Tim Walz’s awkward performance at the VP debates did nothing to further the cause. In fact, it is generally thought of as an embarrassment that inconveniently helped catapult J.D. Vance to firmer footing. Even Saturday Night Live was unable to make a mockery of the Vance vs. Walz debate.
A Vote for Kamala is a Vote for Joe Biden
According to President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Joe’s vice president, was “a major player in everything we’ve done, including the passage of legislation which we were told we could never pass. She’s been, and her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing.” ...
Harris is looking to begin a slew of sit-downs with friendly interviewers, reports Mr. Domenech, Call Her Daddy, Stephen Colbert, Howard Stern and The View are meant to draw distinctions from the current president — not exactly what a confident presidential candidate would be engaging in.
“If anything, would you have done something differently than President Biden during the past four years?”
KAMALA: “There is not a thing that comes to mind.”

Who Is Kamala Harris
A latest example is a VP Kamala Harris interview with “60 Minutes,” which reminded viewers why Harris should do so few. The Monday interview, with a sympathetic questioner and a lot of editing, did not go well, reports Dan McLaughlin in NRO.
Harris gave us a glimpse into her mind, and there’s not much there. Be thankful for small favors: At least she didn’t deflect anything with “I grew up a middle-class kid.” But her canned evasions still aren’t actually answers to the big questions of this election: What she really believes, how she’d offer “change” from Joe Biden, what she plans to do, or why anyone should expect any of her policies to work.
