Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared an invasion under the authority of both the Texas and federal constitutions and has listed a number of actions he’s taking to stop the flow of illegal immigrants, drug smugglers, and terrorists across the border.
I invoked the Invasion Clauses of the U.S. & Texas Constitutions to fully authorize Texas to take unprecedented measures to defend our state against an invasion.
