Explosions and fires were reported in Kommunarka, Serpukhov, and Kursk, though no casualties were confirmed. Airports near Moscow briefly halted operations. Ukraine has not commented, and the Kyiv Independent could not verify Russian claims. The strikes come amid ongoing cross-border drone and missile attacks between Russia and Ukraine. They write:

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Oct. 26 that Russia has attacked Ukraine with nearly 1,200 strike drones and 50 missiles — primarily ballistic missiles — in the past week alone.
