Raytheon, a business of RTX Corporation, has signed a $3.7 billion contract to supply Patriot GEM-T interceptors to Ukraine. The GEM-T interceptors, part of the Patriot air and missile defense system, are designed to counter a wide range of airborne threats, including tactical ballistic missiles.

A new production facility in Schrobenhausen, operated through a joint venture with MBDA Deutschland, will support increased manufacturing capacity and strengthen supply chain resilience. The expansion is intended to help replenish interceptor inventories and meet rising global demand.

Overall, the contract highlights efforts to scale production of combat-proven air defense systems while sustaining support for allied defense needs and improving long-term supply reliability.
