IRAN: Is America Out of Ammo and Out of Time?

According to reports from Reuters, the United States has used “virtually all” of the types of long-range strike missiles it has been firing at Iran, including ATACMS and Precision Strike Missiles.

The White House pushed back at Reuters’ claims, releasing a statement from President Trump explaining that America has “far more munitions than anyone in the world…far more than we need.” He continued, “Our defense companies are, at this moment, making more munitions than they have ever made before, in addition to expanding their plants and equipment at record levels.”

Former congressman and presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul argues that America should simply call off the war with Iran, writing:

The US attack on Iran is the most unpopular major US military operation in history and is becoming more unpopular by the day. President Trump’s polling numbers have been dragged down to the low 30s by the conflict. Midterm elections are three months away.

President Trump is rapidly running out of options in his war of choice against Iran. There is no path to victory in the war. It is now only about how to manage defeat. That’s why the Constitution does not allow presidents to start wars on their own.

Get out now. Completely out. The foolish war on Iran must end!

Will Trump be forced out of Iran in defeat, or can he still manage a victory? It will be tough in either case, and the longer the situation lasts, the more it will affect the mid-term elections.
