EVACUATION ORDER: Is War Brewing in the Middle East?

The State Department has ordered nonessential personnel out of Iraq, announcing a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the country on June 11. The statement said:

On June 11, the Department of State ordered the departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel due to heightened regional tensions.

Do not travel to Iraq due to terrorism, kidnapping, armed conflict, civil unrest, and the U.S. government’s limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Iraq. Do not travel to Iraq for any reason.

The advisory comes in response to heightening tensions between Israel and Iran, and the potential for a war to break out over Iran’s nuclear program. When asked about the order to evacuate, President Trump noted that “They can’t have a nuclear weapon.”

Iran responded on X.com, alleging that the country “is not seeking a nuclear weapon.”

The Trump administration has been in heavy negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, as noted recently by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
