Poland’s history is full of instances where it has stood alone in a time of need, and those in which it thwarted Islamic invasions of Europe. Two of the most famous are the invasion of Poland by Germany, and the victory by the Poles over the Ottoman Turks in the Seige of Vienna.
In 1939, when Hitler invaded Poland, despite its treaty obligations to help, France made little more than a token effort to invade Germany from the West. Later it would be learned that Hitler had left hardly any troops on Germany’s western border, and could have easily been overwhelmed by the French, possibly shortening WWII to months, instead of years.
In 1683, Poland defeated the forces of Islam attempting to invade and conquer Christendom in the famous battle of Vienna. When surrounded and besieged by Ottoman Turkish forces, the Holy Roman Empire, then led by Leopold I, sent a call for assistance. The Poles answered. Jan III Sobieski came to the aid of Vienna, crushing the Turks, and leading to a massive expansion of the Holy Roman Empire, saving Europe from forced Islamisation.
Now Poland once again faces an Islamic invasion, encouraged this time by its traditional enemies and oppressors, the Russians, and does so with little to no help from its “allies” in the European Union.
Itxu Diaz explains in The American Spectator, writing:
The Left and the Social Democrats in both Europe and America have one thing in common: they know nothing of human nature. You know: Everyone is good. All criminals can be reintegrated. All borders are bad. And every multicultural melting pot is enriching.
But there’s a problem: It’s not true. Not all cultures are equal. Nor is everyone good. Which is why we need locks on our cars and houses, passwords on bank accounts, and border controls around our lands. Even if the contemporary Left believes that the only threat to their brave new world is capitalism and my huge diesel car, the truth is that there are, for example, a lot of guys who wake up every day intent on killing as many Westerners as they can in the name of Allah, in New York, in Madrid, in Paris, or this past Sunday in Liverpool. And unfortunately, they are much more fervent believers in their Islamist madness than most of our leaders in their own moral heritage.
Migrants from Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Africa are gathered on the Belarus–Poland border. They have been transported there as part of a plan laid out by Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, acting as the “in” Islamist travel agency. Through chain messages on WhatsApp and social networks, these migrants have been lured to their current situation under the promise that they will be able to enter the European Union.
Poland has reacted by condemning the attack and has closed off and militarized its border. They are not ready for an Islamic invasion — the umpteenth — orchestrated by Europe’s enemies and tolerated by a cowardly European Union.
No one is surprised that Lukashenko should try for revenge against the EU over the sanctions received for his fraudulent electoral process.
Only one country in Europe has offered Poland military assistance to repel the aggression, and it is no longer part of the Union: Great Britain.
Poland’s stance is courageous and risky. Courageous because it is alone. Risky because Lukashenko is itching for war, and threatening daily, armed response to make the Poles move. Poland’s reaction has been to send in the tanks. And Putin, who is very much like that lady who can be spotted at every family wedding but no one knows who she is or who invited her, has sent several bombers to the border, in case the dance starts.
