In Chicago, CEO Chris Kempczinski of McDonald’s is being pummeled into making an apology for (what is turning to be) his reckless text sent to Mayor Lori Lightfoot “about shootings in the murder-wracked city.”

The WSJ also reports that the text just recently became public.

Mr. Kempczinski sent the text in April, shortly after the mayor visited McDonald’s headquarters after 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams was killed in her father’s car outside a McDonald’s restaurant.

Thirteen-year-old Adam Toledo was fatally shot by police a month earlier.

According to unfounded reports, Jaslyn Adams’s father has been accused of criminal behavior and 13-year-old Adam was armed and out In the Midnight Hour.

All of wokedom came down on the CEO. “It’s clear to us you’re the one who has failed here,” said a group of 12 organizations, including the Service Employees International Union, in an open letter. “Your text message was ignorant, racist and unacceptable coming from anyone, let alone the CEO of McDonald’s.”

The group staged a protest outside the company’s headquarters.
