America’s Gift to the Taliban

August 27, 2021 By Debbie Young

Yesterday, in one day, Jihadists killed 13 Americans – that’s more Americans who died than in all of 2020.

According to Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, head of Central Command that is supervising the evacuation, the U.S. has depended since mid-August on the Taliban for security screening outside the airport.

How can it be tat the U.S. is now in a position of relying on a victorious enemy that has spent some 20 years trying to kill Americans with the mission of detecting Jihadists bent on killing Americans?

Americans have a right to be angry, submits the WSJ.

The obligation of a President is to provide adequate force to execute a mission and protect the troops carrying it out.

Even after the collapse of the Afghan military, Mr. Biden could have introduced enough force to retake the large Bagram air base, which is further from Kabul and has two runways and a larger security perimeter.

At The Federalist, Jordan Davidson writes:

In his White House speech, Biden called the at least 12 U.S. service members who were killed in the explosions heroes but spent minutes comparing the loss of his son Beau Biden to cancer to the pain his administration’s incompetence has caused military families.

Biden claimed he was “outraged” at the situation and attack, which took more than 100 lives, but only repeated lies and deflected blame for his botched withdrawal that caused the American evacuation crisis which he celebrated last week as being death-free. …

What American Taxpayers Have Handed to the Taliban:

  • 75,000 vehicles
  • 200 airplanes and helicopters
  • 600,000 small arms and light weapons
  • Taliban now have more Blackhawk helicopters than 85% of countries in the world.
  • Body armor, night vision goggles, medical supplies, biometric devices containing fingerprints and eye scans.
  • Biographical info of the Afghans who helped US over the last 20 years.
