Rink of Dreams

Scott Foster, a 36-year-old accountant, was a goalie on Western Michigan’s hockey team more than a decade ago. Last week Scott was called in by the Blackhawks as an emergency goalie and ended up stealing the show in Chicago. After stopping seven shots as the Winnipeg Jets unsuccessfully tried to score against the Hawks, Scott was given the team belt, which goes to the player of the game.

Scott usually plays in a rec league in a rink called Johnny’s Icehouse. So where does the local the beer-league-turned-big-league hero/accountant go from here? Back to work, reports NPR.
