Lying to a Nation

‘We’ve seen the heavy assault on our post in Benghazi that took the lives of those brave men. We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing to do with.” From Hillary Clinton, secretary of state, with President Obama by her side, September 14, 2012.

Andrew C. McCarthy writes in NRO that Hillary Clinton, President Obama, and high-ranking national-security officials throughout the United States government were well aware that this was a planned terrorist attack, and not, as they reported, a “protest” run amok and incited by “an awful Internet video.”

No one would have know about the anti-Islamic video trailer, Innocence of Muslims, had Clinton and Obama not “tirelessly publicized it in the international media and in official American government statements that were studiously linked to the Benghazi massacre.” Read more from Andrew McCarthy here.
