Time to Junk the Corporate Tax – Michael Boskin, The Wall Street Journal
Michael Boskin calls the corporate income tax “the most growth-inhibiting, anticompetitive tax of all,” and he’s right. The United States has the second highest corporate tax rate among the OECD countries. Junking is a no brainer for a more competitive business environment in America. The idea is anathema to the Radical Progressive Movement (RPM), but makes sense to most thinking Americans. All conservative candidates should run on a platform of junking the corporate tax, making the U.S. the best place in the world to do business. – Dick Young
Chances ‘Very Good’ Arizona Law Will Stand – Connie Hair, Human Events
The principle drafter of the new Arizona immigration law, Kris Kobach, expects the law to be challenged, as the last three major immigration related bills in Arizona were. And, like the last three challenges, Kobach expects Arizona to win the battle in court. The law was written specifically saying that illegals couldn’t be breaking the Arizona law unless they were, at the same time, breaking federal immigration law. So for the Arizona law to be thrown out, it would seem that the federal law would need to go as well, which is highly unlikely. And Americans are lockstep in line with the new law. Polls show 60% of Americans believe the Arizona law is about right, or doesn’t go far enough in prosecuting illegals. – Dick Young
